HOW TO PREPARE CAESAR COCKTAIL.

The Caesar cocktail is a Canadian classic, similar to a Bloody Mary but made with clamato juice (clam and tomato juice). Here’s how to prepare a Caesar cocktail:

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 oz vodka
  • 4 oz clamato juice (clam and tomato juice blend)
  • 3 dashes hot sauce (such as Tabasco)
  • 3 dashes Worcestershire sauce
  • Pinch of freshly ground black pepper
  • Celery salt (for rimming the glass, optional)
  • Ice
  • Celery stalk or pickled asparagus spear (for garnish)
  • Lemon wedge (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Glass:
  • If desired, rim a highball glass with celery salt. To do this, rub a lemon wedge around the rim of the glass to moisten it, then dip the rim into celery salt spread out on a plate.
  1. Build the Cocktail:
  • Fill the prepared glass with ice cubes.
  • Add vodka, clamato juice, hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and a pinch of black pepper directly into the glass.
  1. Mix the Cocktail:
  • Stir gently with a cocktail spoon or a straw to mix the ingredients together well.
  1. Garnish:
  • Garnish the Caesar cocktail with a celery stalk or a pickled asparagus spear.
  • Optionally, garnish with a lemon wedge on the rim of the glass.
  1. Serve:
  • Serve immediately and enjoy your Caesar cocktail!

Tips:

  • Clamato Juice: Clamato juice is a key ingredient in a Caesar cocktail. If you can’t find it, you can make your own by mixing clam juice and tomato juice in equal parts.
  • Spice Level: Adjust the amount of hot sauce according to your preference for spiciness. You can also add more Worcestershire sauce or black pepper for additional flavor.
  • Variations: Some variations include adding horseradish, pickle juice, or even a splash of beer (creating a “Caesar beer cocktail”).
  • Non-Alcoholic Version: Omit the vodka and enjoy a Virgin Caesar cocktail by simply mixing clamato juice with the other ingredients.

The Caesar cocktail is a refreshing and savory drink, perfect for brunch or any time you’re craving a flavorful cocktail with a Canadian twist!
